My late friend, Henry, and I enjoyed playing games together that looked fun and had cool graphics.
He isn’t here to share games with anymore so I’m going to just show them to everyone in his memory. If you’re interested in one of these but lack the funds, I’d be happy to help subsidize the cost if I haven’t done so too much already. Reach out to jerbaloot@gmail.com

He was really into these sandbox custom physics games and he followed one of the developers, @hawkun, on twitter.
It’s not out yet but I’m for sure going to get it when it does come out.

There was this pokemon crystal mod that we got sometime back in 2022 and it had a similar vibe to this. I like how intentional all the color choices feel while staying retro feeling.

This game is much more than just a game feels rather like a living artifact with layers and layers of mystery. Near the end of the game I had a moment of euphoria and badly wanted to get Henry to see it. I Think this would have inspired him to no end, and you might like it too!
I think it's fun to really push your mind and think outside the box with this game. It feels like early Zelda games must have felt when there was no internet, you'd have to try things out through trial and error and I love that feeling (usually).

I'm not super sure he'd have been all over this, but it's somewhat similar in vibes to Cruelty Squad. I'm placing this one as more for myself because I really like the appearance of this over-the-top graphics (plus they get major points for executing this specific style.

he'd have defintely been interested in this one I bet. It reminds me of Hylics, which we played together, as well as the mother series. I'm defs going to try and get this once I'm reunited with my computer. It gets major points for the moody vibe it seems to have (reminds me of majula from ds2).

I was just shown this game by a friend! It is handcrafted and uses stop motion. I'm so excited to play this game once I get my computer back! This is more like Hylics than Felvidek seems to be.

This game was apparently made by a Nickelodeon art director and their friend. It looks real cool and is pretty short (good). Also you should check out the trailer, I love how it feels like a trailer for a movie.
